36 weeks begins

Today I started my 36th week and went to see the OB. I weighed in at 191 lbs and my blood pressure was 130/80. So my body is feeling the pressure but not enough for concern. I’m still 1 cm dilated and 20-30% effaced.
She did my Group B Strep test as well. […]

the final countdown

I had the final ultrasound at the Perinatal Clinic today.  Both boys are still head down so we will definitely be scheduling a vaginal delivery. Logan is still presenting which means he’s definitely named right.  I just have this thing about Logan being more dominate and “pushy” then Forest.  I don’t think Forest is going […]

33 weeks

This week I put on 5 lbs, however Laura said it could be the water retention.  I am at 181!  My fundal height (size of my uterus) is at 41 cm so if I was a carrying a single baby I’d be overdue.  My blood pressure is still excellent and while my cervix is starting […]

32 week ultrasound

Saw the boys this morning on the ultrasound.  Both are head down, Logan is still presenting (lowest so will be first born).  They weigh exactly the same, 4 lbs and 2 ozs each.  Which combined with the measurement of my uterus (39 cm) makes me officially the same size as a full-term singleton pregnancy.  And […]

(About) Six weeks to go!!

I had both OB and Preterm Labor Prevention appointments today. My weight has stayed the same, however I’ve grown over a centimeter in the size of my uterus. Both boys are currently head down!! Well Forest is in a weird diagonal position but his head is down which is a good thing. […]

26 weeks and childbirth class

Depending on who you ask you may get a different answer to when the 3rd trimester begins. Since I’ll be having these little ones sooner then 40 weeks I’m going to go with the 26 week mark. I’ve experienced a lot of changes lately so identifying with the 3rd trimester makes sense.
The […]

17 weeks development

Your baby during week 17 is now very mobile, gleefully moving his joints here, there and everywhere and will continue to do so as you continue your pregnancy week by week. The cartilage making up the skeleton in your baby’s body is starting to transform into bone. At pregnancy 17 weeks time your baby should […]

week 16 development

Growth continues, but no new structures form after this point.
Eyes are at final destination and face forward rather than to the sides and reflexes, such as blinking, develop. Ears move to final position and stand out from head. It can move its eyes (though there’s not a lot to see in there).
Meconium begins to […]

13 weeks development

“The fetus is now nearly 3 inches long from crown to rump and weighs nearly an ounce — about half a banana. Its unique fingerprints are already in place. And when you poke your stomach gently and she feels it, your baby will start rooting — that is, act as if she’s searching for a […]

12 weeks development… phase 2 begins

Your baby’s face now has a distinctly human appearance.
Her eyes, which started out on the sides of her head, have moved closer together on her face, and her ears are near their final positions on the sides of her head.
Your baby’s intestines, which have grown so rapidly that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will […]
