Staying Warm thanks to Papa
When my dad was here at Christmas, he taught the boys how to keep warm when it’s cold outside. He taught them to clap their hands together, rub then, and then put them over their ears. They LOVE doing it and always shout , “papa!” over and over as their way of saying, [...]
Sing a Song
I was getting the boys dressed this morning and singing the Sesame Street song, “Sing”. I used to LOVE that song as a child. I remember how happy it made me feel even then. The first kids compilation of music we bought for the boys had that song on it and I [...]
Wow!
Logan loves his new vocabulary of exclamation words. “Wow!”, “uh oh!”, “Big!” He says them all with such cuteness that I find myself trying to create situations to get him to say them. He’s starting to put words together. Drink, Mommas. Car, red. Truck, big. It’s really exciting [...]
Colors
Logan has officially mastered the colors blue, red, green, and white. He seems to be working on black and brown right now. I keep trying to get him to say yellow and orange but he won’t even try those words. I guess they are pretty odd sounding words.
He says No
No one prepared me for how incredibly cute it was going to be when Logan learned how to say no. His no and his yes are heart melting sweetness as he bobs his head to the side, gives you a coy little smile and says “noooo” or “hhham yumm haaam” for yes. Seriously, [...]
Blue
It has been confirmed, tested and grandmother verified, Logan knows the color Blue! And that has me tickled pink. The other day as he pointed to the blue ribbon in the rainbow and said “boo”, it’s true, I had tears in my eyes.
Moon
Logan loves the moon thanks to “Hush Little Ones”. But last week was the first time he saw the real, actual moon up in the sky and not just a picture in a book. It was in the morning and very high up in the beautiful blue sky, about half waning. I [...]
18 Months
The past month has been such a great joy as my little men become 18 months old. It’s amazing how much they’ve changed in the past six months. How much more independent and adventurous. And yet they are still my little baby boys who love to cuddle and need to keep Momma [...]
Ladies Man
There is no such thing as too soon
Brad has been playing the didgeridoo for about 10 years and has 7 different ones of various sizes and materials. The boys have been exposed to them since my pregnancy and have been encouraged to “play” them since they could figure out how to put their mouths to the mouth piece. Recently Brad [...]
