My way, Right away…
For my Birthday last week, May 27th, Dawn and the boys took me out to Burger King, my second favorite fast food place, for some flame-broiled goodness. While Dawn ordered our food the boys and I played in the little-kids area of the indoor playplace. The boys tried to go over to the [...]
Picky
Forest is a picky eater. The good news is that it’s a good picky. He wants real cheese and fruit, not processed or jarred. He also makes cute sounds when he’s enjoying his meal, a lot like I do. Gotta love a baby with good taste.
We’ve Come a Long Way, Babies
Today is Logan and Forest’s 10 Month Birthday. It’s strange to go back to my posts from earlier this year and realize just how much babies do grow and change in such a very short time.
Logan’s first word was “Buh Bye” just a week ago. But the first word that he actually understands [...]
If your happy and you know it
I don’t know where to begin with all the new things the boys are doing just since this week.
Forest had been working on clapping for the past few weeks but definitely is getting it now. Logan picked it up all of a sudden and does it a lot now.
Forest loves to point [...]
8 Full Months
Talk about some busy little boys. Forest and Logan work so hard each day it’s no wonder they sleep so hard at night.
Logan has his first tooth and crawls all over the house. He chases the cats about and climbs up into a standing position from anything and everything at just [...]
ice cream
I secretly (meaning Logan is napping and doesn’t know about it) share ice cream with Forest every afternoon. He loooooves it.
7 Months
It’s been awhile since I last posted due to the Aspen trip and then playing catch up all this past week. Aspen was wonderful and it was so good to be with my old friends. But after 3 days I was really missing the boys. I almost didn’t make it home Monday [...]
Things the Boys are Digging
Logan loves water, the bath, the new pool we bought and set up out front. He also gets snuggly and all smiles when you give him kisses. He loves to steal his brother’s pacifier, straight out of his mouth usually. In fact they both find that whatever the other one is playing [...]
I’ll miss using the big green pillow
Breastfeeding has officially ended for us at 6 months. I started the weaning process in May in preparation for my 5 day trip to Aspen without the boys. We had started feeding them cereal and introducing various fruits and veggies, so it seemed like a good time. The boys are also [...]
reality check
I’m starting to realize that we give birth to babies and then proceed to spend our time letting go of them. First they leave our bodies and are able to survive in the world. Then we stop breast feeding and they eat what other’s can provide them (food, formula, what have you). [...]
