the Forest is growing!

Forest is in a growth spurt, eating every 2 hours and becoming noticeably bigger and stronger. His little cheeks are filling out with baby roundness and his back is growing larger. Pictures to come!

breastfeeding – 3 months

Three months of breastfeeding without any bottle supplements, except when I run out for of the a bit on weekends. We have started giving the boys one bottle feeding each weekend just to get them used to having a babysitter since Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Paul are watching them overnight for us next weekend. recent changes

There have been a few recent changes that are interesting.
They boys have started eating every 2 hours during the day, but then eating less often at night (yay more sleep!).  This is tough on me during the day because it basically means feeding a baby every hour because the boys often end up on different [...]

digestion

Did you know that breastfed babies can go a whole week and poop only once?? And there is nothing wrong with them!
Poor guys, digestion is so painful for them. I read that 3 months is when their digestive system gets more relaxed and won’t hurt them so much. Since this is the cause [...]

past week

This week Brad’s Mom, Peggy, was in town to help us with the boys. Boy am I grateful! Brad and I got to get out to run errands, have dinner with friends, and just in general relax. I even got a much needed chair massage at Whole Foods yesterday afternoon. I can [...]

I kept track of the boys eating and sleeping all [...]

various things

Breastfeeding is going well.  I have my moments when I worry that I’m not producing enough and such, just because I’m new to all of this, but the boy’s weight gain and some pumping experiments have proven that all is well.
Cloth diapers are not working out for us.  I spend so much time doing laundry [...]

breastfeeding

Last week we attended the “Breastfeeding Multiples” class. It was 3 hours long, which is honestly way too long to ask a 3rd trimester multiples’ mother to sit, no matter how many breaks you have. That’s my only complaint. Otherwise it was very informative as one of the local lactation consultants concentrated [...]
