On the Road to Success
This week I hunkered down and focused on two things at home, Forest’s brushing and Logan’s potty training. And I’m happy to say that we are making great headway with both.
Forest is wearing clothes that he hasn’t worn in months and gets into the car seat without any upsets. The car [...]
Weekend in Photos
Despite Brad having to work a lot this weekend, we still managed to get outside and enjoy some of the beautiful spring weather in Austin. Saturday we spent the afternoon at the Austin Zoo, Sunday morning I took the boys to a newly discovered park just down the street and Sunday afternoon we flew [...]
Tactile Defensiveness Occupational Therapy Begins
Wednesday’s occupational therapy appointment was pretty straight forward. She did some basic tests to figure out where Forest is developmentally (kid is super smart, in case you were wondering) and then I changed his shirt so that she could see how he reacts. She showed me how to use this small medical brush [...]
Struggles and Solutions
I don’t remember when or how it started but it crept up over time and has become such a major part of our lives. Every single day we struggle with getting Forest dressed. His clothes hurt him, he says. Sometimes it’s a full on mini tantrum, other times it’s a few moments [...]
3 Year Doctor Visit
The boys went to the doctor this morning for the first time in a year for their 3 year check up. Because we have moved, I chose a new doctor much closer to the new house and loved the nurse and doctor. Very friendly and handled to rowdy toddlers really well.
Forest [...]
Birthday
Today is the boys’ 3rd birthday and I am celebrating with a day all to myself. Brad is out of town until tonight and the boys left yesterday with Dusty to spend their birthday weekend with their grandparents.
As I sit down to write this, I think back to their birth and how [...]
Trimming Trees and Birthdays
The boys turn three years old this coming Saturday, December 12th. They certainly look and act like three year olds to me. It’s a magical, brilliant age and I can’t believe the time has flown by like it has. All of us parents say that, don’t we?
This year, Dusty is taking [...]

July
Here are some of the pictures from the Warren family’s visit in July.
Finger Painting!
The boys made finger painted art for Father’s Day cards to their Dads and Granddads. They had a blast! Especially Forest who decided to pain himself as much as the paper.
Logan loved how pretty his hands got.
Forest banging his hands down to make a cool image.
Logan had to try that method, [...]
