About
This website is kept up by me, Dawn.
I started this blog in May of 2006. I was 33 years old and a first time mom, to twins. The universe definitely has a great sense of humor. I really wanted to be a mom and the idea of twins was immediately exciting for me. A lot of people said “wow” when they heard it was twins on the way. I thought it was pretty wow too… but not in the overwhelming sense, instead it’s the awe inspiring, takes-my-breath-away-with-joy, sense. Of course now that I have the two angels home it is overwhelming but it’s also starting to be more rewarding and more amazing.
The father of the twins, Dusty, and I separated during the pregnancy and are now divorced. We are still friends and respect and love each other very much. It was just one of those things where two people grow apart and decide to let go in order to stay friends. My husband, Brad, and I have known each other for about six years and he was with me through the pregnancy. He helps me with the day to day raising of the boys. These are some lucky babies because they have three sets of grandparents and two dads right from the start!
I decided to do this blog as a tribute to these new lives and to keep in touch with friends and family far away. It’s a lot about the twin boys but also about me and my life.
I love to read, eat, and am just starting to enjoy cooking. Well, I enjoy cooking mostly because I enjoy eating. I’m literally a “tree hugger” because I love trees and have been known to hug them early in the morning. Why early in the morning? Because I’m a morning person. I believe in the power of prayer and have found my life altered and improved through direct and constant communication with Spirit. Having a family has taken over my life but when we are able to get away without kids I like to drink vodka cocktails and go out to eat with friends for Indian, Thai, sushi, Mediterranean, and of course TexMex (since we live in Texas). I’ve also been known to go out dancing but these days that usually means drinking my vodka cocktail(s) and making fun of the under 30 year olds for wearing the things we wore in Jr High.
If you are looking for twin belly pics, I have them. Unfortunately when we made some changes to the blog and lost the ability to search for them. So feel free to leave a comment letting me know you want to see just how big a twin momma’s belly gets, and I’ll be happy to show you where to find those pictures.
