Giving in to Greatness

This morning I was trying to engage the boys in some art activities. As tends to happen, Logan got really into it but Forest quickly grew frustrated and/or bored. Instead of walking away from the table though, Forest started using the things on the table to make bridges. Pieces of paper previously cut were suspended over glue sticks, a ruler became the ramp onto the box of markers and the tops of the glue sticks became little people at a playground. Logan jumped in and soon it became an airport complete with a small jet landing. I loved watching their little faces full of joy at this new playground made with new materials and how well they cooperated with each other in this game.  It was really fun to watch unfold and a great reminder to me to let go and let the boys run with their imaginations and education.  Sorry for the low resolution images from my phone but they were just too cute for me to not post.
