Old Draft, finally posting
I drafted this two weeks ago but we lost our interconnect connection for awhile and then went on a vacation for a week so I’m just now getting a chance to post it.
Three weeks ago we had a wonderful visit from Brad’s parents and many other relatives on his mom’s side of the family. The boys enjoyed lots of fun toy spoiling and got new big boy beds and comforters. They’ve been able to climb out of their cribs for a good year now and we took off the front bars about two weeks ago so the transition has been extremely simple. They keep saying they miss their old beds but play and sleep very well in the new ones so I think that’s just a typical toddler response to something new. We went out to dinner one night with 13 people and the boys made us proud with their good behavior. iPhone games sure did help with that! They even got to stay up a bit late that night to see the infamous Austin bats leaving their bridge at sunset. I think it was a bit anti-climatic for them but Forest loves to tell people how the bats sounded when we walked under the bridge so it’s sticking with them.
I have lots of new pictures to post but we still need to hammer out our picture software/hardware situation on the new home network since moving so please continue to be patient with me. Hopefully in the next week I’ll have lots of fun images to share here.
We had various illnesses making their way through the house two weeks ago. Tummy aches and sore throats, just enough to keep me on my toes. It was challenging but we all made it through.
Logan is singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star like a pro and almost has the entire alphabet song memorized as well. He has also made me very proud this past week by memorizing how to spell his name! He can’t write it but he knows how to spell it!! Forest can sing Twinkle Twinkle as well but can’t carry the tune. Logan actually has the tunes down for various songs. It’s so cute to hear the difference.
