Forest
This is Forest.
| From Feb 09 |
He is so smart that this age is an extra challenge to me. He wants to do everything on his own. So I’ve learned to let him try first and wait for him to ask for help if he needs it. He has a strong will and is very independant. But he is also very loving. He walks up all day long and asks for hugs and wants to cuddle. He loves to sit on your lap and be read to. He’d have you read books to him all day long. He’s started to memorize favorites and can tell you what’s next. So I’ve started to let him tell me the stories. His emotional intelligence is extremely mature. He recognizes emotions in pictures of faces, even cartoon drawings. He cuddles you when you are upset and naturally makes me laugh. He is a total comedian/coyote personality. Just a few months ago he would run around in circles, drop to laying on the floor and yell “fall down!” I had images of him becoming a slapstick comedian. He loves to sing along and dance. Forest is very social and not overly shy of new people. When a little boy said “chase me” to him at the playground, he did! He’s not afraid to climb or walk on anything and has been a little monkey since he could walk.
This is my Forest, petite for his age, wise for his years and loving beyond measure.
