What’s Up?
I’ve been filled with a lot of energy in the past few weeks which has kept me away from the computer for the most part. I have a tons of new pictures of the boys to share with you but due to a bit of a hardware failure in our household it’ll probably be another week before I am able to get those posted. So be on the look out, cute adorable pictures of beautiful two year olds are on their way.
Instead of the computer and tv I’ve been reading, writing and being crafty. I decorated my first mask! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to wear it at Flipside this year. I’ll post pictures once it’s completely dry and ready to show off. I stayed up late the past two nights working on it and what a great feeling it is to just sit and attack feathers with a glue gun. I am reminded to do crafty projects more often. I’ve been assisting Glenda over at the Fellowship of Comparative Religion’s website by writing up overviews of major world religions. Right now I’m working on Judaism and have to say that as much as I love Huston Smith’s writing, it’s very difficult for me to retell things by him. They sink in very deeply into me but are so deep I can’t offer the ideas back very easily.
Saturday Brad and I have about 10 houses to go look as we begin our house hunt in earnest. Many are within streets of each other, 3 even on the same street, so it shouldn’t be that heroic a deed to accomplish. And with twin two year olds and one car, it’s pretty much the way things are going to be… lots all at once when we don’t have the boys on the weekend. At least right now as we still have 3 months before our rental lease is up.
The boys are talking up a storm and constantly amazing us with their intelligence. They are also very much two year olds and freak out at the smallest thing and I often don’t even know what caused it. About 75% of the time we get to the root cause for future reference but a lot of the time, it’s just what it is. At least with Forest. Logan is a lot simpler. You don’t let him do what he wants to do, he screams. But his tantrums are pretty melodramatic and easily ignored. They are getting better and better at pretend play and I just love to sit and watch and enjoy as they create situations and stories all by themselves. Logan is very much the artist who is also getting very good at his golf swing, thanks to a recent visit from Nana and Papa Warren who bought them plastic golf sets. Forest is the clown with an incredible amount of emotional awareness and understanding for his age who loves to climb like a monkey and still won’t give up his pacifier without a fight.
So there you have it. I really will try and get those cute pictures posted soon!
