Beads, For the Win!

Every few months I hit a wall and need help to think of ways to entertain the kids. It helps to pull up a few websites, open a few books and realize that I’m not going insane, I’m not screwing up my kids, and to be reminded of some inexpensive and simple ways to provide them with educational opportunities.

One of the great ideas I came across was stringing beads. I had also bought some pipe cleaners this morning so we got those out instead of the string and it turned out to be perfect. And close to an hour of fun.

Logan was really into it.

Look at his concentration!

Do the same thing at Christmas, alternating red and white beads, and bend them in to candy canes that can be used as ornaments! Cheap and easy, keeps them occupied, and the Grandparents and other family will love getting a homemade gifts from the rug rats!

Would the boys be interested in making a pair of necklaces for their favorite godparents?

wow, I have some really nice beads to gove them, and probably some more pipe cleaners too!
