Kids Retreat
The kids retreat was wonderful and exhausting, as usual! The boys did great and loved it but were obviously overwhelmed and overstimulated throughout. We had a cold front come through so we didn’t get to camp and instead set up a sleeping bag pallet on the floor which they did great on for bedtime and nap. Here are a few pictures. But only a few, it’s pretty much impossible to take pictures when you are busy wrangling, carrying and otherwise parenting toddlers at the retreat. And this time Dusty couldn’t make it so we while we had an incredible amount of help from other parents there, we still barely got to eat at meals and take showers.

i cried as i looked at these pictures. i think because of many reasons. i love the kid retreats so much and Ra & Ty have gained so much by going and we had to sit this one out. also the pictures make me miss not only being with Logan and Forest and the other children but brings up how much i miss the days when Leif was little and i wish i had held him and hugged him more and when my grands were little and now my baby grand IS little and i do not get to hug her at all [except in spirit].
thank you for sharing your babes – give them big hugs from me. love you.
