Hands
I just love to watch the boys little hands do big kid stuff. Spreading peanut butter on a piece of bread with a little knife. Washing their hands. Putting on their shoes. Dusting the entertainment center. Their little hands are so small and beautiful to me and symbolize so much. [...]
Momma Told me that there’d be Days Like This
I owe you a post. A real post. Not just pictures and updates about all the neat stuff the boys are doing (which I’m behind on anyway), but something a little more, well like I said, real.
The boys want to do everything on their own. And they are getting good at it [...]
Like Father, Like Son
We have been using the babyplays.com service and the boys really seem to appreciate it. Five new toys to play with for a month, then return and get five more. This most recent box had a Fisher Price computer for lil ones. Forest doesn’t seem to like it much, in fact all day yesterday [...]
Beads, For the Win!
Every few months I hit a wall and need help to think of ways to entertain the kids. It helps to pull up a few websites, open a few books and realize that I’m not going insane, I’m not screwing up my kids, and to be reminded of some inexpensive and simple ways to [...]
Working on the Train Gang
I love watching the boys “figure things out.” Here was a perfect visual example that I was lucky enough to catch and save.
Train set in pieces, trying to put it back together again:
Logan tries this one:
Forest has a suggestion:
Still not exactly it but great ideas!:
On the Plus Side
As much as the boys fight at this age, they also are showing more empathy and demonstrating their love for each other. Here are some pictures of them being sweet that I caught on my iPhone in the past few months.
HUGS!
Holding Hands!
Logan
Here are some sweet photos that I’ve captured of Logan over the past few months on my iPhone.
backpacks
The boys were given the most adorable backpacks for Christmas. And despite their very wonderful and crafty Aunt Amy getting their names put on them, they’ve chosen to use the ones with the other brother’s name! They still look super cute though! You just never know how things are going to go [...]
Missing you
I started using the word “miss” often to the boys to talk about missing grandparents and their daddies. We’d use the pretend phones to call them and I’d say “now tell Nana you miss her” and Forest started to do it. He tends to freeze up on real phone calls though but I’ve [...]
Teething is Tough
Forest has the worst time with teething. Since the beginning he has spent weeks and months struggling with all the worst symptoms until the teeth finally come out, usually delayed by most expectations. He’s currently trying to grow in his canines. I’ve been a softy and let him go back to having [...]
