Social
I tried twitter and it was interesting and fun for awhile but Facebook has taken over as my “social media outlet”. As a person interested in and involved in technology I value the purpose and opportunity of twitter. As a stay at home mom, I just didn’t find the value for my personal life style right now. So I reserve the right to change my mind and get back into it in the future.
Facebook, on the other hand, has been awesome. And honestly can be a time drain if I don’t watch myself. But it’s been great to reconnect with people who I went to school with in Holland in the ’80s, Germany in the ’90s, and those I was friends with in DC/Northern Virginia during and after college. To chat about the random moments of our lives or detailed emails about where we are today and how we got there. I am currently building a list of all the friends I’ve reconnected with that I need to go visit when we finally make it up to visit my parents in Seattle or to DC to see old friends. I wouldn’t be surprised if several have run across my mom on Fort Lewis already. It’s a small world and the internet just keeps making it smaller and smaller.

You went to school in NL? Where?? I obviously wouldn’t be in the same class at all, but I was in the 6th grade at the American School of the Hague in 1981! :) –Julie
