Sentences!
While having the boys at my house this last weekend, I heard Logan use what I could consider to be a full sentence. When I first got home with the boys I had the baby gate up at the bottom of the stairs to keep them downstairs for a bit while I unloaded the car and whatnot, and after about half an hour I heard Logan yelling “Green Daddy!” from the front of the house. I went over to where he was by the stairs and asked him what he needed and he said “Daddy help gate me stairs play my toys”, which essentially meant that he wanted me to move the gate so he could go upstairs to his room and play with his toys. We still need to work on the grammar a bit, but it was easily the longest string of words I’ve heard him use thus far to convey a single concept and was essentially an imperative sentence. Forest is still using two and three word combinations for the most part but likely isn’t far behind his brother.
