In the Beginning… of a New Year
I’m still catching up from being sick, caring for sick children and otherwise recovering from the holidays. Not that I’m complaining. On the contrary. Life is Good! But I’ve gone and sucked myself into a 10 book series and pretty much turned all my extra time over to it when I’m not watching the boys.
We aren’t getting great sleep right now. Logan is having middle of the night wake ups a lot and having trouble putting himself back to sleep. There is talk by the boys of being “scared of the dark” but I’m not sure how much of that is how they really feel or just what they’ve heard. I tell them that it’s ok to be scared and we sing the “silly song” from Little Einsteins. No matter what other shows they watch, that one is still number one.
I also need to call and schedule appointments to go visit a couple of the local Montessori schools in our part of town. With some waiting lists being as long as a year, we need to get our ducks in a row.
This weekend, Brad is going to a men’s retreat and Dusty has the boys. I am so excited to have those two days to myself. I am going to get a massage, go shopping, have a hair cut, and otherwise spoil myself with quiet and friends both. Not sure when the last time I just sat at home alone was so I plan to make the most of this opportunity.
