It’s all Happening at the Zoo
This morning started off at 6:15 AM. Oh wait, we forgot to set back the clocks and keep the kids up an hour longer. So it really started at 5:15 AM. Four hours later we drove down south of Austin to the Austin Zoo. Which is not a traditional zoo but really an animal rescue foundation that also serves as the local zoo. It was the boy’s first trip to any kind of zoo and they had an awesome time.

If I hadn’t known any better, I would have thought Forest was using that map.

The boys were so exhausted that they passed out in the car on the way home. I had to keep Logan awake enough to finish the graham cracker he had in his mouth. Seriously, he was passing out with a Lightening McQueen graham cracker in his mouth. But I managed to keep him conscious long enough for him to chew and swallow. Or maybe it just melted in his mouth. And being the kid that he is, when we got home he figured he’d had enough nap, thank you very much. Forest went on to finish up with a great sleep. But Logan was up which meant Brad and I made more coffee, going to be a loooong afternoon. But after such a fun and enjoyable weekend, I am not complaining. I’m loving it. And my boys.
