Update before Thanksgiving

We are less then a month away from the boys turning two and as much fun as these days can be, they seem to also be that difficult. The boys are cutting their canniness and Tracey gave me good warning that it is the worst! It’s been so bad that we’ve been letting [...]

Going to Alaska!!!

Last week I posted about wanting to take a big trip in two years and how I’d always dreamed of going on an Alaskan cruise. I’m a simple person for the most part and only have two major travel dreams, Alaska and the Grand Canyon. Of course once I do those that will [...]

Priceless

I find Elmo’s voice extremely annoying.  So not a fan.  But the 10-15 minutes of peace and quiet that I get while the boys watch Elmo’s World as the boys are beginning the pre-nap meltdown is priceless.

The Great Wilderness Dream

Growing and Changing

This past weekend we took the boys to their third Children/Family Retreat at Earthsprings. I noticed several things about this particular experience as well as some of the boy’s recent behaviors/accomplishments that I’d like to share.
I have always told the boys what we are going to be doing days in advance. [...]

Relaxed

Logan knows how to make even the floor look comfortable.

Is this week almost over?

I put the boys back on regular milk about a week ago, I’ve been regularly trying it out for them every few months to see how Logan reacts. Unfortunately he reacted poorly again with horrible constipation that I’m now feeding him prunes for. Poor little guy.
The boys [...]

Explaining to My Sons Why Yesterday was Important

A few weekends ago, I had the opportunity to hear stories from the life of an African American woman who I admire greatly. She spoke of her struggles in the 60s and 70s as a woman and an African American in the work place. She spoke with such matter of fact about things [...]
