Halloween Day

This year’s October has been packed full of Halloween anticipation for the boys. Grandparents sending cute Halloween tshirts, placemats, decorations for their door, and lots of books with Halloween themes. The boys know what a ghost is and that they say “oooooo”. They know that bats “eeek” and who Frankenstein is. Logan will even say “Trick” or “Treat” (but not together yet). They watched Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin yesterday and even asked for it again this morning. They both say “Jack” when they see a Jack O’Lantern or “pump” when they see a pumpkin.

My idea of old fashioned sheet ghost costumes failed so Dusty spent this morning tracking down a Spiderman and a Superman costume. They absolutely love their jack o’lantern candy collectors though so if the costumes fail we’ll just put them in their cute tshirts from Grandma T and take them out to learn the ways of trick or treating. I’ll post again tomorrow and let you know how/if costumes worked out with pictures of course.

In the meantime, Grandma Warren sent an edible bouquet in a Thomas the Train box. The boys went crazy for it and here is the picture proof.

Cute stuff!! It is amazing how fruit will often beat out candy! Good luck on the whole costume front. I usually scavenge around the house for stuff too. Have a Happy Halloween and give the boys kisses and hugs from us!
