Prayer Requests
Today my mom sent me an email with two prayer requests.
One is for a friend who is undergoing testing for cancer. I would like to ask that you always remember in your prayers those who have cancer, have had cancer, or who are undergoing tests out of concern for cancer. This devastating disease seems to prove how little we know with every little bit we figure out. No one is immune from it, not the babies, not the teenagers, those who do not smoke get lung cancer, mothers of small children die from breast cancer, leaving husbands to raise them alone. We have all been touched from knowing someone personally who has fought or is fighting this disease. So please pray for all of those who are personally going through this hell as well as for their families and their support systems of friends, doctors, nurses, and spiritual advisers. And for those who have survived, offer up gratitude and joy.
The other request is for a little girl named Willow. Willow was born with the sutures in the front of her skull fused. She is now about a year old, and the front of her head has not grown. Next week, on the 30th of September they will be doing surgery to correct this so that she will be able to grow normally. Just a little about the condition. Please remember Willow in your thoughts/prayers this week and I’ll post a reminder again on the 30th as well. See the little ones being given amazing surgeons, healthy recovery, and parents who can sustain the battery of these experiences with grace and support.
