Recipes to share
I love to eat. Which means that I’ve had to learn to cook. And I LOVE getting new recipes to try because I like a lot of variety in my diet. So I thought I would share with you all some of my current favorites and encourage you to share any of your favorites with me.
To make this easiest I’m going to just do the ones that I’ve found on other websites. I’ll post the link and any information about changes I’ve made, etc. Maybe another time I’ll do a post with some from my cook books.
Yesterday I made these Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos and they are going to become a definite part of our dinner rotation. I prefer not to use taco seasoning and instead use my own spices such as chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, and salt. This was so delicious and unbelievably easy! I even put some of the left overs aside for friends who just had a baby. I’ll put together some tortillas, cheese, sour cream, and avocado and it’s a perfect to heat up and eat during this first week.
Last week I made these Cheese Muffins for the first time and they were a huge hit, even with the twins. I think they might be improved with some spices, like rosemary perhaps. Next time. They also are best when first made so I’d save them for when you have company over or if you have a big family.
Among my friends this cornbread recipe really fits it’s name as the Best Cornbread Ever. I made it yesterday with some homemade chili only I left out the onions for the twins and added cheddar cheese. Seriously, make this and share it with friends. You’ll get more compliments then you know how to handle.
And last but certainly not least, the amazing Zucchini Cakes. They go perfectly with chicken or fish and I enjoyed dipping them in my homemade tzatziki sauce (one I’ll have to type out for you some day). They are that perfect mix of “it was good for me until I fried it.”
I’m particularly interested in recipes that are healthy, quick and easy. I’ve just started to try and do slow-cooker recipes so I’d be extra excited if you have one of those to share.

These are some great recipes! Thanks. I wish I would use my slow cooker more…everytime I DO use it I always say, “I should use this more!”. Now that the snow is a few weeks away, I am in Soup Mode. Once I get home tonight, I will try to find a few of my favorite sc-er recipes!
Those cheese muffins sound fabulous!
