Seeing the world from up high
Last year we bought a child carrier that would be appropriate for using while hiking and camping. Unfortunately we didn’t put it to much use until about a month ago when we decided to start taking early morning walks on the green belts around town. The boys like to walk some, run some, climb some, and then get tired and want to be carried. So it was time to get a new carrier because one was not a enough. Last weekend Brad and his dad did some carrier scoping at REI and came back with the Kelty. I was so excited my heart skipped a beat when I saw it. Even the boys knew what it was and couldn’t wait to get out and about in it. Brad’s mom got lots of pictures that morning and here are a few of my favorites. REI also just had a huge sale and we were able to get the little men some great hybrid hiking/water shoes (Keene rules) for AWESOME (read: appropriate) prices. Since the green belts around here have lots of water running through them, these are a great find. I got a pair for me, too. ;)
So I’m excited for the lowering temperatures that are coming on and chances for more hikes with the boys. It’s so good for all of us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
