Catherine
I am in awe at the power of prayer and how the internet has created prayer circles out of people who have never met but who are energetically invested in each others’ journey.
As usual, I don’t remember how I ended up at the blog, but a couple weeks ago I found myself reading the story of “letters to catherine“. A mother and father who found out during the pregnancy that their baby girl had a 25% chance of living past birth. Months and months of a mother’s hopes and fears poured out for me to cry along with. But then good news! Last week she was born and took her own breaths! Her battle is not over as surgeries await but that 25% gets higher and higher with each breath and each day that passes. I encourage you to read this blog and send up your prayers for Catherine and her family.
I can’t write about babies beating the odds without also expressing gratitude prayers for where we are today with medical science. So many children are given a chance to fight because of the incredible technology that we have today to help keep those babies alive. The nurses and doctors who care for them and perform the surgeries, I am speechless, so I pray.
