Blue

It has been confirmed, tested and grandmother verified, Logan knows the color Blue! And that has me tickled pink. The other day as he pointed to the blue ribbon in the rainbow and said “boo”, it’s true, I had tears in my eyes.

Family Photo

We haven’t tried a family photo in a long time so this was a neat shot that Brad’s Mom took last weekend. Sure Brad and I look ready to run off and join the circus, but otherwise it’s kinda cute.

Moving the Park Closer to Home

We started off this spring going to the park almost daily. The boys and I would rotate one of the many parks in our part of town but as they got more and more sure of themselves they wander. And they usually wander in opposite directions or at a different pace. So [...]

Should we or shouldn’t we?

The time has come to answer the big question, “should we have another baby?” Both Brad and I are 35 years old and don’t want to wait too much longer if we are going to have another. We are kicking around the cons things we’d have to think about a lot right now. [...]

Sweetness

Further Confessions

I’ve been laughing at myself a lot these past six months. I think my mother has been laughing at me as well.
I had a lot of convictions about how I was going to raise my kids - before I became a parent. I read up on the APA website and their [...]

A Very Happy Unbirthday to YOU!

On Sunday we celebrated the boys’ “Unbirthday”. Since their birthday is less then two weeks from Christmas, we thought this makes more sense until they get old enough to tell us otherwise. We gathered at the neighborhood park with family to celebrate the joy that is Forest and Logan in our lives. [...]

Quote by Helen Keller

I love quotes. I collect them. I have text files filled with quotes on all kinds of subjects that mean something to me like education, motherhood and spirituality. Today I was reminded of one of my favorite by Helen Keller.
“I long to accomplish a great and noble tasks, but it [...]
