Prayer Requests for Family
We’ve had a lot of drama in the family recently that require prayers.
First I’d like to ask for prayers of gratitude because even though my inlaws live within 10 miles of the epicenter of yesterday’s earthquake, no one was hurt and all of the damage to the house was cosmetic. It’s a good thing that my mom in law convinced my dad in law to get earthquake insurance when they bought the house a year ago!
Second, I’d like to ask for prayers for my brother in law, Jason and his job search. Jason is a salesman, the awesome kind. The kind that listens to what you want and not only sells you a car but also becomes your friend that you invite over for Thanksgiving in the process. Seriously, he’s just that great of a guy. He’s also at the point in his career where he’s ready to take on the managership of an entire dealership, after years of working his way up and proving himself. He’s earned a great deal of respect with a particularly fine European car company after years of hard work. So much respect that when a dealership owner was talking to the company about opening a new dealership in Phoenix and said Jason’s name, the company’s North American President said “Don’t bother interviewing him, just hire him.” So Jason was offered his dream job, opening a brand new dealership as the GM, a move from California to Phoenix where he could afford a huge new 4 bedroom house for his family. Unfortunately, after giving their notification of moving out, after finding their dream house and putting down deposits, and just one week before the movers where coming to pack up their belongings, news came that the dealership was not going to be built after all. No, really. I can’t believe that even happened, but it did. So this past weekend Jason and his family, including three beautiful daughters, moved everything into storage and moved in with my inlaws. He’s got a lot of interviewing activity already and the jobs all look awesome. (I’m personally rooting for the motorcycle dealership because Brad and I have always wanted a motorcycle and this particular shop makes some SEXY bikes.) So please offer up prayers for Jason to find another dream job and home to live in, proving that this all happened for a reason and that there is something even better waiting for them.
