A Very Happy Unbirthday to YOU!
On Sunday we celebrated the boys’ “Unbirthday”. Since their birthday is less then two weeks from Christmas, we thought this makes more sense until they get old enough to tell us otherwise. We gathered at the neighborhood park with family to celebrate the joy that is Forest and Logan in our lives.
Brad’s Mom came into town on Thursday night so I’ve included some pictures from a few days before as well. The boys love having a sandbox and we’ve played in it every day since setting it up on Saturday.
Dusty’s parents got the boys a cool car and while it was tough to get Logan to share at the party, after hours of heat and over stimulation, I had them mostly sharing it this morning and it went well.
They are still playing with the balloons and think they are the greatest thing ever. Forest loves Mickey Mouse and calls him “momma”. Not sure how I feel about that but what’s a Momma to do?
I enjoyed looking around that day and seeing members of both Dusty’s and Brad’s families there as well as each Daddy had invited one close friend’s family. We are a very unique family and yet we aren’t any different from any other. We just have a bigger extended family then most. We have lots of love for the boys and respect for each other and that’s all that will ever matter to Forest and Logan. I feel blessed beyond words to not only have these beautiful boys in my life but also their daddies and their families.
My parents were just here for a visit and my family’s vacation is just around the corner so the boys will get a chance to get some of my side again soon.
