And Now Back to Your Regularly Schedule Program
The past five days were spent catching up with my parents and letting them catch up with Forest and Logan, literally and figuratively. It was a great visit for us all and we managed to get in some shopping trips and still feel relaxed the whole time. On Sunday one of my dad’s former co-workers came by for a visit with her family. We hadn’t seen each other in about 15 years so it was a lot of catching up. Their four children were absolutely wonderful and I just pray that our boys turn out to be such good people. Even the two older teen boys played with my boys. I think that letting them play Brad’s didgeridoos was a big hit.
So this morning the boys and I woke up, just us and are struggling to remember how to do this being at home thing. The hot summer weather has struck in full force so I’ve moved our morning outing to super early, have to get out and back home by 10 to miss the heat. I’m going to depend on sprinklers, hoses and a baby pool to get us through the afternoons. I also plan to buy a sandbox since Logan is fascinated with digging into the dirt and letting it run through his hands and toes.
Last week the boys got their first Hot Wheels cars from Grandma Warren and fell in love. So my parents bought them a carrying case and 20 more cars to play with. Talk about addicted. Both boys wander around the house pushing little cars making various car sounds. It’s cuter then cute.
I know I’m still slacking on the pictures but I’ll get those out and about in the coming week/end.
