Reverse Rant

This morning I tried to go to the gym for the first time in a week but the day care was full.  So I decided to take the boys to our neighborhood park, which is still driving distance from our house, but a lot of fun.  There were three other mothers there with children around the same age as Logan and Forest and they were so cool!  I admit I am a bit excited about the possibility of making mom friends in my neighborhood.  These ladies asked great questions and said nice things but without any of the silly or annoying twin comments.  They introduced themselves, even though I got the vibe that they all know each other and meet up there on purpose, they included me and the boys as if we were part of the meet up.  The boys loved having other kids their age on the slides and to run around with.  It was super cute and brought out lots of adorable smiles.  Including my own.  I hope I bump into them again soon.

That’s really exciting girl! If you see them again and really like them, you could just take the initiative and set up a regular play group. That’s what Kate did with her boys. Obviously that fulfills the need for adult contact while taking care of the kids at the same time. Win, win :)
