Educational Games

I need help. I want stuff to do with the boys during the day that doesn’t just fill the time. I’d like to find ways to have more structure but also provide educational activities. I realize that they are learning all the time from every thing we do but still, I think all three of us are becoming bored. Does anyone have a book or two to suggest filled with these kinds of ideas?

i hear you, dawn. mine are a little young yet but so curious about it all. i want to have them enjoy and experience more than just toy banging (at some point). i will be checking back to see if anyone had goos suggestions. maybe you can pose this question to the HDYDI moms too.

Dawn, I’ll ask the daycare teachers tomorrow when I drop the kids off if the have any suggestions. I’ll ask Debi from http://bouffard11.blogspot.com She has 9 kiddos, and homeschools 2 of them. She would have some good suggestion probably. I’ll let you know what I come up with.

I used Slow and Steady Get Me Ready with my third child. I can’t remember the author’s name, but it gives one idea a week for simple, educational games to play from birth to age 5. I remember that they didn’t take much time or money to get the game materials together, and I also remember that there were many ideas in that book that I’d have never had on my own.
