Weekend
This weekend Dusty has both boys the whole time which is currently a rare occasion but about to become a monthly one once he’s settled into his new house. We originally arranged this so that Brad and I can attend our county Democratic convention on Saturday as Obama delegates. Of course being “baby free”, we’ve packed the weekend with lots of fun.
Tonight we are headed to Clay Pit for dinner to celebrate the one year anniversary of our commitment ceremony. I can’t wait to eat delicious Indian food and am really looking forward to some lamb.
Tomorrow is the convention most of the day. As I mentioned before, this will be an entirely new experience for Brad and I. Most of the day will be taken up with signing in and voting for delegates to the state convention in June. It’s very interesting to us to be part of the process and I’m curious to see if it ignites a permanent desire in us to be more involved.
Tomorrow night we are headed to see this guy and get our boogie on. I haven’t been out to a club or event in so long that I can’t even remember. Last year when our friend Coy spun at Minc, maybe? Yeah, a long time considering up until a few years ago I spent about 10 years going out at least one weekend night for dancing. But I really don’t miss it that much. I had been weaning myself and growing out of it for some time. But it’s still fun to go out occasionally and either have a great time and remind myself why I don’t do that any more. Both seem to happen at the same time now.
Sunday Brad has work to do so I’m going to clean house and shop. I need some new clothes and shoes for the summer.
And somewhere in there we are going to fit in a visit to the new Mediterranean buffet that just opened across the street. It’s a place with several locations in Houston that has a great reputation so I’m expecting it to be good food.
So there you have it, a whirlwind of food, politics, dancing and more food.

I am so excited bout our convention tomorrow, and it appears I may have a decent chance as a delegate alternate at least for the state convention which would make me SOOOO FREAKING EXCITED!
