Eggcelent!

The other day while watching the boys so that Dawn and Brad could go to the Orthodontist, I tried to teach them how to hunt Easter eggs in preparation for Easter Sunday. They had around 10 colored eggs and a couple of buckets they had been playing with, so I gathered all the eggs up and put the boys in the hallway where they could still see me and told them to stay there. They watched in amazement as I ran around the living room “hiding” the eggs in plain sight. At first I think they thought I was crazy, because they were looking at me from the hallway with wide eyes as if they were trying to figure out just what I was doing, but then I handed them each a bucket and started pointing out the easter eggs and telling them to put them in their bucket. Forest understood the game immediately and started running around putting the eggs in his bucket, but Logan either didn’t care or didn’t understand, because even after I had helped him with hunting a few eggs he just put his bucket down and went to play with something else. Forest had a blast though, and hunted down every last egg (even though I had to point out a few to him that he wasn’t seeing himself). Forest constantly amazes me at just how much he understands or can figure out almost instantly.

With the hunt over, and with all the eggs in his basket, Forest promptly sat down in the middle of the living room and then dumped them all on his head, which he of course thought was hilarious.

My oldest twin Connor had a blast the other day at my parents playing with eggs and a basket. He had more fun putting the basket on his head than anything else, but it was so funny watching him. It is amazing how quickly they grow.

Happy Easter you guys! The boys look great!
