Brother Bear

We don’t watch a lot of tv. In fact, we recently had our cable turned off completely and returned the cable box. Thanks to the internet and iTunes we can keep up with our addictions like Battlestar Galactica and I’ve recently gotten into Lost and have three years to catch up on. We have an AppleTV and it rocks.

But I’d be lying if I said that the boys have never watched tv or that I’ve never put a kids show on in order to help me out with them. I’ve found that when they are SUPER fussy and nothing else will work, I can put on one movie and one movie only, Brother Bear. They will only watch about 20 minutes at the very most but sitting on the couch cuddling with momma and some cheerios does the trick. I’m so glad that it’s this movie of all movies. It’s about the interconnectedness of all, respect for nature, and compassion. I can’t help but find it interesting that this is the movie that they love the most. Sometimes it’s fun to see some of you in your kids.

You forgot to mention one other important thing that Brother Bear is about, which is especially applicable to Logan and Forest…
