Yummie Tummy

Yesterday I decided that I’m terribly bored with how I’ve been feeding our little men. They’ve been on a rotation of the following for at least a month now: cheese sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, hummus sandwiches, cheese spread with veggies sandwiches, Hebrew National Low Fat All Beef hotdogs with ketchup or mustard (they’ve discovered sauces), chicken nuggets with ketchup or mustard, apple sauce, oatmeal, kashi waffles, black beans, Earth’s Best 2nd food veggies, eggs with cheese and ketchup or salsa, corn, peas, various cheeses (they love Gouda and cheddar) , fruit (bananas, mangoes, peaches, nectarines, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, pineapple, pears - I think that’s about it), graham crackers and various Earths Best crackers and cookies - oh and their cereal bars.

Although the “experts” say to feed them what you eat, the reality is that they are picky eaters (although ours aren’t terribly picky) and they have few teeth, or in Forest’s case, no teeth!

Today I looked into the fridge to figure out what I could feed them for lunch that would be good but new and I’m really proud of what I came up with, especially because they loved it! Last night we had pasta with veggies which was made up of; asparagus, red pepper, onion, garlic, zucchini, tomato, olive oil, basil, salt and pepper. I mixed together some kidney beans, orange pieces, a couple of last nights noodles to make it fun, some of the various veggies and a Baby Bel cheese wheel. It was consumed with great relish!
