12 month doctor visit
This morning the boys went in for their one year doctor’s visit. They are, and I quote “perfect.”
Logan is weighing 22 lbs 10 oz and is 30 1/2 inches tall.
Forest is weighing 19 lbs 3 oz and is 29 1/2 inches tall.
The doc had some cocerns about Forest not having any teeth yet and asked that if he doesn’t break one in the next six weeks that we take him in for a thyroid test. Both Dusty and I had late teeth so we aren’t too worried.
Logan’s height is why he seems so big it would appear. Although the boys have maintained their ongoing difference in height of 1 inch and still pretty close on the 3 lb weight difference. I’m sure that Forest has a growth spurt on the way because of all the eating and sleeping he’s been doing recently.
They got 4 shots which made them pretty darn miserable but by the time we made the car they were fine. One interesting aspect of them growing older that I’ve noticed recently is their ability to stay awake longer. While they still need their naps, despite being their nap time when we got into the car, they made it the 10 minute drive without falling asleep. That wouldn’t have happened a month or two ago.
Going to the doctor is one heck of a work out now. They are all over the place and get very frustrated (read: start throwing tantrums) being confined in a small space where they can’t get into anything.
