you take the good, you take the bad
Forest took two independent steps last night!
I’m constantly testing their knowledge of words and learned the cutest thing the other day. If I ask Forest where “Elmo” is, despite the fact that there are three Elmo’s in our house he goes right to the one dressed like a chicken that Grandmother Karen gave them many, many months ago and starts dancing before I even push the button for him to start singing the “chicken dance” song. “Elmo wants to be a chicken, Elmo wants to be a duck…” I mean really, does it get any cuter then little boys bouncing their knees to dance?
They are running me ragged pulling out all their toys and books and crawling into our living room chairs. Luckily it turns out they seem to be learning how to get down from high places and know to turn around and go feet first. Lucky because three times yesterday Logan was in one of the chairs before I even knew it. We’ve since turned the chairs around to face the wall, at least while I’m home alone. With our hard floors I don’t risk a head bang while taking care of one of the others.
We are off to L.A. tonight for Thanksgiving with Brad’s family. We haven’t seen his brother and his family since last Christmas so it’ll be a good visit. They will be so surprised to see how big the boys have gotten. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
