11 Months Old
Today “the twins” turn 11 months old. It’s so odd to look back at the pictures and realize just how much has changed in such a very short time. In the midst of 12 weeks old I was so unable to imagine this moment, but as any parent will tell you, time goes by fast. They are now mobile, active, creative, with a great sense of humor and know how to cuddle. What more could I ask for?
Daily I am amazed at some new sense of their self that they choose to share with me. I see them make tools out of objects in order to be more mobile. They have begun using the two story cat scratcher as a walker, despite it’s bulkiness. They have learned how to turn anything and everything into a walker and more importantly how to turn the object around in corners and such. I see them learn more about their bodies. Logan discovered that he can touch his face on purpose today and was making awesome faces. I won’t embarrass them by going into their ongoing discovery of their boy parts and the smiles and giggles that ensue. But hey, it keeps them from the usual screaming and fighting at diaper changes and after a bath so who am I to tell a boy, “that should be done in private”? Logan plays peekaboo with any piece of cloth he can find. Forest is all about relaxation and likes to recline across my lap while eating his snacks. Logan giggles when you touch his belly just like the pillsbury dough boy. Forest has a smile that can melt icebergs.
