If your happy and you know it

I don’t know where to begin with all the new things the boys are doing just since this week.

Forest had been working on clapping for the past few weeks but definitely is getting it now. Logan picked it up all of a sudden and does it a lot now.

Forest loves to point and reach his hand out to you and makes it very obvious when he wants to go from one set of arms into another.

Both boys are standing with such strength that they easily balance just on their own two feet. They still aren’t confident enough to just let go and walk yet but it’s amazing how far they’ve come in such a short time. All they want to do is walk now and have even ventured out for a few steps only holding one hand.

Logan is “dancing” and bending his knees and moving his feet to music. He’s also trying hard to say “buh bye” and wave.

Forest says “momma” and know that it’s me. When he is upset for some reason, that’s what he repeats. When I leave the room or am outside in the yard, reports are that he yells and repeats it as he looks for me. Dusty said that he says it at his house when no one else can console him. He will go to the ball or the cup if you say “ball” or “drink” and make the sign for each. Logan copies you and says “bahh” for “ball” but also seems to know that word and will go to it.

Both boys love eating in restaurants as long as you can keep feeding them. If you try and eat without them having something, forget about it. But it is doable.

Logan is refusing to eat “baby food” and only wants to feed himself. They can eat almost anything now and really enjoyed grilled cheese last night. But Logan has started throwing a temper tantrum after about the second bite of baby food and wants to be able to self feed. I have to start working with him and the spoon but he is still not ready for that so it’s finger foods all the way. I can squeeze in a few bites between his self finger feeding.

The boys are mastering the sippy cup with ease and can give themselves a drink - and of course love to.

It’s a lot of fun to see them quickly moving into 10 months with all the expected skills and “big boy” coolness.
