nap frustration
It has begun, the much talked about 6 month nap frustrations. I swear, Logan is a text book case baby. In some ways this is good because I can be prepared and know what to expect. In other ways it sucks because I can always hope to miss out on something right? The boys are in the process of changing their daily schedule as they are able to stay up for longer spans of time and need fewer naps during the day. This is neat because it’ll mean more ability to get out and about. But right now, in the middle of the transition… it’s hard. Forest is doing good as always but Logan has decided to fight tooth and nail not to take the afternoon nap. For the past week when I put him down, he cries for 30 minutes (I visit him every 10 minutes), I get him back up, play with him until the first yawn or eye rub (usually 15 minutes) and then put him back down again. He only cries for a few moment then and goes down to sleep for a good nap. Just a few weeks ago we had such a set nap schedule with 2 hour naps each time! Oh well, such is life with a baby.
We’ve also learned that making sure that Forest doesn’t nap past 4 PM means he sleeps REALLY well at night and doesn’t wake up at 4 or 5 AM ready to start the day. In fact, last night he slept the whole night in his own bedroom without my once having to sooth him in any way! I was a very happy Momma this morning.
