the sleep saga continues
For the past two nights the boys slept in the same room from bedtime until about 4 - 5 am, when Forest gets fussy and then he comes to our bed. Since Logan throws a mini temper tantrum for about 2-3 minutes every time he’s put down for a nap, Forest is still taking naps in our room. Hopefully if they keep up doing well sleeping in the same room at night we can finally buy Forest a crib and just use the co-sleeper for his naps and such. And I keep hoping Forest will eventually be able to sleep longer in the morning and not need to be with us but we’ll just see how time goes. And I figure Logan won’t always cry when put down so they can eventually be in the same room for naps too. Of course by then it may be an issue of them keeping each other up playing so we’ll need separate rooms anyway.
I’ve noticed their nap schedule changing, of course just after we had gotten a good schedule going! Everyone warned me that it would be like this and to never get to settled. They were taking two long naps and a short one in the evening but now they are taking a long one in the morning and two short ones in the afternoon. I figure that means it’s time to shoot for two naps a day. So this week I’m trying to get them to stay up a little bit longer between each nap and that will get us to a long morning and a long afternoon nap. Wish me luck and patience!
