breast pumps and twins
I’m not sure what other twin Mom’s experiences have been like but even the wonderful Medela breast pump just didn’t hack it for relieving me when the boys weren’t around. On two occasions I was away from the boys for 12 hours to 24 hours and I was so engorged that it was painful. The pump just wasn’t able to suck me dry the way that the boys do. Now that I’m now longer exclusively breastfeeding (only first thing in the morning and last thing at night) and will be away from the boys for about 16 hours over the weekend, I’m curious to see if it’s better. I do hope so because I really enjoy being able to maintain feeding the boys and these two feedings are a pleasure for us all.
