Forest’s Ferberizing- help from twin parents

The night started out well. Both boys asleep in their own cribs and it only took about 15 minutes for them to fall asleep. However at the 45 minute transition and subsequent wakefulness, they proceed to go back and forth crying and keeping each other awake for an hour until I finally caved and went to get Forest and let him gently fall asleep in my arms and kept him once again in our bed for the night. Logan kept escalating his cries when he’d see us come in to check on Forest. They are able to sleep through each other when fully asleep but not when only sleepy. My initial thought is that right now crying it out is not good for Forest since he’s having a lot of teething discomfort and it’s made him very sensitive. After the 2:30 AM feeding I put him down in the bed with us but let him fall asleep on his own with only my hand on him. Maybe I just need to be more patient. Let Logan get more used to things and let Forest get used to being put down awake with only a hand to soothe. He seems to do well with this. And then maybe once Logan is no longer or barely crying and Forest is feeling better teething wise and doing well with just the hand soothe, we can make the full change.

Anyone with advice about how they got through this I’d love to hear about it!
