6 week growth spurt
The boys are going through the 6 week growth spurt right now, which means they are demanding to be fed any where between 1.5 and 3 hours. Usually together but a few times one has been sleeping and the other wanted to eat an hour or two after the last feeding so I’ve just been dealing with each one as needed. It started on Sunday afternoon and from what I’ve read it should only last a few days. No one had warned me about this! Thank goodness for the internet! I’m extra grateful to have Grandmother Peggy here right now to help me this week with this going on. The good news is that they are just about to 4 hours between feedings before this started and I expect this will seal it. From what I understand this is to encourage my breasts to produce more milk so that they can have more to eat less often as their schedule changes to accomodate their growth.
The boys have both grown out of the Gerber 0-3 month onesies! These were among the only ones that fit Forest’s little frame since birth but yesterday I realized that they are stretched to the fullest and it’s time to move him along to new clothes. It’s interesting to learn how each company’s sizes fit (Gerber, Carters, Gymboree, Circo, etc).
Logan is becoming less and less fussy and starting to be a mellower baby. Both boys are getting better at holding their heads up and we’ve been introducing toys for them to look at and touch. It’s true, they grow up so fast! I’m already amazed at how much they are changing every week and how they are slowly moving away from needing me to hold them all day. They are starting to coo and “talk” now as well! Yes, they grow up so fast.
