tears for two or three

If I learn nothing else in the next 4 months, I will learn how to stay calm and not cry when one or both boys are crying.

Or maybe I’ll just go insane…

this is so hard.

I don’t remember it (probably due to the extreme sleep deprivation that comes with having twins and would be illegal under the Geneva Convention), but my mom has told me that one day when she was visiting, she watched me nurse one baby and, at the same time, lift another one out of its bouncy seat and hold it on my shoulder. She said, “How do you do it by yourself all the time?” And, according to her, I answered, “Mom, sometimes all three of us just sit here on the couch and cry.” Having twins is so hard sometimes, but so very, very rewarding. You are probably going through the worst of it now–the sleeplessness, constant feeding, colic. It will only get better and, as always, email me if I can be of any help. You’re doing GREAT and those boys are so lucky to have you@

you are going to make it, girl! i can only imagine how hard it must be, but i know that if anyone can do it, you can!
