one month weights
Logan was born 6 lbs 9 oz. All babies loose weight in the first few days and then gain it back again. At his one week visit he was 6 lbs 11 oz. At two weeks he was 7 lbs 5 oz and today, a few days after 4 weeks, he is 8 lbs 9 oz.
Forest was 5 lbs 12 oz at birth. He was 5 lbs 7 oz at one week and 5 lbs 10 oz at two weeks. Since this isn’t so great of a weight gain the doctor had us return today specifically for Forest and we are going to continue 2 week visits to keep an eye on his weight. Today he was 6 lbs 3 oz. This isn’t bad at all, it’s the very minimum weight gain that is expected. As the doc said today, she doesn’t want to get me all worked up and anxious when the reality is that the two boys are very different and Forest may just be a more petite baby and shouldn’t be compared to his brother. I appreciated her way of addressing it.
