Only a matter of days now
This weekend we are sleeping as much as possible and conserving energy knowing that life is about to change. I actually slept from 10 PM - 8 AM! I just couldn’t help forcing myself to staying in bed a little longer despite not being totally comfortable.
The doctor’s appointment on Friday showed no changes to my cervix so we are pretty set on Monday night starting the preinduction and expecting to have the boys on Tuesday. Mom keeps reminding me that the day I was born she went into the doc and was told that nothing was happening and but then later that night her water broke and it went from there. So it’s always possible that they could decide to listen to us and all the prayers and make an appearance sooner and without the need for all the induction measures. We’ll see.
One last pregnancy “symptom” has made its appearance… the belly rash. The other day I noticed that my belly was itchying really badly just under my belly button. I can’t see that area at all so I got out my make-up mirror and low and behold, the itchy rash! Using A&D ointment and teatree oil to keep from scratchting myself raw.
It’s been good to eat and sleep better these last few days. They boys have been very active, especially at night. They are so big and my belly so small of a space now, you can see feet pushing up and out. It’s like they think they can bust out that way. We keep telling them to go down “into the light”. I’m very emotional these days, very hormonal. I cry at the drop of a hat and want to be touched one moment but not the next. I also have developed some sinus issues and am taking benedryl and using saline solution to clear out my nose. I hope that will all be passed by Monday so that it’s not one more thing to think about during labor and delivery (images of snot are just not pleasant for that important time).
I will post again tomorrow and then once the boys are born and I have a few moments. Thank you for all the prayers! I’m very excited for what is yet to come.

I am so excited for you. You have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers especially over the next few days.
I wish you all the best for a safe and healthy delivery.
Remember…you have a friend in California!!!
