Soup Peddler

Several weeks ago Alissa was telling me about the Soup Peddler. He was once a man who sold soup to the homes in South Austin and since his bicycle was his means of delivery, he had to keep it basic. Now he has expanded and delivers all the way up to our homes in the North Austin area. He is a bit of a legand around here and is well known for making incredible food. So Brad and I checked out the website and decided to place an order. And we haven’t stopped since!

Every week there is a new menu with several soups, a couple cassaroles, a quiche, a desert, and some side dishes. There is always at least one vegitarian option but sometimes more. All the ingrediants are fresh and well seasoned. He lets you know if it’s an item that will freeze well so we usually order 3-4 items a week with 2-6 servings each. I’ve enjoyed everything we’ve gotten but definitely have favorites. And since the menu changes every week it never gets boring. The price is excellent and much cheaper then eatting out.

The Soup Peddler has been wonderful since I have such a hard time standing up for long and am unable to cook dinner. Our dinner prayer often starts off with “Thank you for the Soup Peddler.” I imagine this will be a great life saver in the first few months after the boys are born as well since time and energy will be limited. So we eat healthy, DELICIOUS, inexpensive food with great ease.

I love Austin and I love the Soup Peddler!
