Shower Blessings
Had a very good weekend with good friends.
Saturday I allowed myself to rest a lot knowing that I wasn’t going to have much rest once friends and family began to arrive that evening. Bob, Gyee, Crystal, Dusty’s Mom - Karen, and Chris all came into town and joined us (Dusty, Wendy, Sandip, Avery, Brad and I) for a big dinner at Buca di Beppo, one of the few restaurants that can handle a large group. We ate lots of wonderful Italian food and deserts and enjoyed good fellowship. Went to Wendy’s for a few hours of chat before I just couldn’t last any longer.
Sunday started off with brunch at the Bake House with Bob, Gyee, Crystal, Karen, Brad, and I. Although they were packed and chaotic, the food is well worth it. Then we drove down the street to Wendy’s where there were already a good number of people helping set up.
It was a BEAUTIFUL shower. Many thanks to Wendy for hostessing and Alissa, Shaunna and Chris for helping so much. As well as to everyone who came out to celebrate with us.
I saw friends from three cities in Texas and received gifts from as far away as Virginia and California from those who could not attend in person. It was great to watch friends who hadn’t seen each other in many months catching up and hugging. I tried to visit with everyone but it was hard because I was honestly pretty exhausted after the first hour.
All weekend I was surrounded by people who have influenced my life in such positive ways. People who are there for me every day and will be there for me and the boys in the future. I live a very blessed life to have such wonderful and amazing people surrounding me. I can’t think of more wonderful family and friends to help us bring these two little lives up.
