Cramped Inside
The boys are so cramped in there! At this point you can see both of their backs arched up against my belly as they attempt to make as much room as possible in their little home. I feel so bad and wish I could offer them more space. Logan tends to be arched vertically with his bumb of back sticking out just barely to the left of my belly button. Forest is draped like a crescent across the top right side. All of this pulling is causing not only strange and funny bumbs but is also very uncomfortable for me. Yesterday was hard as I find it more and more difficult to find a comfortable position when I lay down and honestly I don’t sit much these days. Laying down is much more comfortable.
I slept VERY well last night but the couple of times that I did wake were tough. Painful is too strong a word, more like extremely uncomfortable. I could feel the boys “stuck”, if you will, in position from my laying on my side so the movements to rebalance and recenter actually hurt my insides. I’m also feeling a lot of small pains when I move at night in my lower abdomen and pelvis. It’s sort of sharp pains from a pulling sensation. I guess it’s from the tightness as well. I transfered all of this discomfort into a dream. In the dream my belly was barely big enough to hold them so I could actually see the outline of the babies’ bodies under my skin and I had to hold them and protect them with my hands whenever I would move. I was very scared for them and hoping they were protected well enough.
I know that the next month will be a challenge physically. Everyone is so sweet and says I don’t look full term as a compliment to how well I’m carrying the weight. But the reality is that my body is at it’s full term single pregnancy size and all the compliments in the world won’t take away the discomforts and yes, even pains, that are starting to become more and more prominent. But with the birth so close at hand and considering how well it’s gone so far, I’m still feeling very blessed and content.
