None Stress Test

This morning I had my first none-stress test. These are usually done on singleton pregnancies if the mother is past her due date but much earlier with twins or other high risk pregnancies. It was very simple and easy. I got to sit in this very yummie recliner, this thing was HUGE, […]

sleep, or lack there of

I go to bed each night between 11 and 12 and am up again around 2 hours later.  I read for an hour or two until I get exhausted again.  Then it’s back to bed for another few hours of sleep, but then I get up again because of all the discomfort in my shoulders, […]

36 weeks begins

Today I started my 36th week and went to see the OB. I weighed in at 191 lbs and my blood pressure was 130/80. So my body is feeling the pressure but not enough for concern. I’m still 1 cm dilated and 20-30% effaced.
She did my Group B Strep test as well. […]

The best and the worst

Things I won’t miss about bring pregnant:

sleeping on my side
unable to sleep more then an hour at a time
always being hot
acid reflux
water retention in my feet and legs that make me look like a hobbit
people asking “when are you due?” and “do twins run in your family?
the attention
the numb fingers
drooling on my pillow while I […]

in the end

I have recently realized that many of the things that moms over the past six months have asked me about experiencing are things that happen at the very end of a pregnancy. Thanksgiving

This year I am thankful for a very healthy pregnancy and to be surrounded by more love then I ever imagined possible.
This year my brother’s birthday falls on Thanksgiving so a very special Birthday wish to him as well.
Blessings now and always to everyone who has touched my 33 years of life.

OB visit at 35 weeks

Today my weight was at 187. Mind you I’ve noticed that the scales in the docs office are different from the scales in Laura’s office so it’s hard to know for sure what my current weight is. I bet a few pounds of it are all the fluid retention in my feet and […]

the final countdown

I had the final ultrasound at the Perinatal Clinic today.  Both boys are still head down so we will definitely be scheduling a vaginal delivery. Logan is still presenting which means he’s definitely named right.  I just have this thing about Logan being more dominate and “pushy” then Forest.  I don’t think Forest is going […]

the inevitable

Well, it’s happened. Like the edema it took getting past the point of a normal pregnancy size but it did finally happen. Applying my daily belly lotion this morning I noticed some small, light stretch marks just to the right of my belly button. I decided to look around some more and […]

Cats in the Cradle

Anyone who has cats can tell you two things about them. First, that they think that everything in the house is for them. I mean you obviously bought that bag or put down that piece of paper for their pleasure. Second, that they have favorite places to sleep during the day and […]
