(About) Six weeks to go!!
I had both OB and Preterm Labor Prevention appointments today. My weight has stayed the same, however I’ve grown over a centimeter in the size of my uterus. Both boys are currently head down!! Well Forest is in a weird diagonal position but his head is down which is a good thing. I was warned to expect my first painful contractions in the coming weeks and to start having a much harder time keeping my energy up. My cervix is still high and thick but she could feel it starting to weigh down. Nothing to be concerned about, just the normal body preparations for upcoming labor. Around 35 weeks is when we should start to see a real change.
I had previously understood back at the beginning of the pregnancy that they would probably go as long as 38 weeks before inducing, however the past few appointments I have heard my OB says 37 weeks. So today I asked directly in regard to my mother’s flight plans and she confirmed that I should probably tell mom to be here by 37 weeks. Which makes sense since 37 is actually a full term pregnancy and most twin moms are very ready by that point. So right now I’m shooting for the beginning of December as a good time to give birth. Six weeks! Wow, does that send me spinning!
